Welcome
We invite you to send us song lyrics or poems that you believe would fit with our mission.  We are always looking for song ideas to perform or record.

For example, consider the words to the following song which will be on our new cd.  We felt that it really spoke to our attitude about "performing":

Jesus In Our Song

If my message is not clear.  If you don't understand or even hear.
Looking for answers for your needs.  But if all you see is me...

Lord, help me step aside so they can see the one who died.
I can point the way, but only you can save.
When my part is over, I hope someone can say, "I met Jesus in your song today."

Maybe you like our harmony.  But if the gospel isn't clear to see,
then all our effort is in vain.  We must live the Savior's name.

If you don't know me you've lost nothing, but if you don't know Jesus you've lost everything!

Praise You in This Storm
words by Mark Hall/music by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms

I was sure by now, God, You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.

Chorus:
And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can't find You
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away

Chorus

I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth

By Surprise
I’ve got a secret to tell
A midnight confession
I love the life that I lead
But it’s no obsession

Because I’m waiting, anticipating
Watching for Your return
You’ll come and get me
You know I’m ready
Enjoyed my stay, but You’ll steal me away

CHORUS
Like a thief in the night
Like a runaway train
Like a first class, lightning fast hurricane
I’ll keep my ear to the ground
And my eyes to the sky
I’m ready now but somehow
I know You’ll take me by surprise

So I’ll keep spreading the word
To everybody
Until the masses have heard
About that party

Because I’m waiting, anticipating
Watching for Your return
You’ll come and get me
You know I’m ready
Enjoyed my stay, but You’ll steal me away

CHORUS

Cause I R.S.V.P.’d on the invitation
I sent it care of the blood
That saved me the spot
With the One who will come

Brave
Nichole Nordeman and Jay Joyce
The gate is wide
The road is paved in moderation
The crowd is kind and quick to pull you in
Welcome to the middle ground
You're safe and sound and
Until now it's where I've been

'Cause it's been fear that ties me down to everything
But it's been love, Your love, that cuts the strings

So long status quo
I think I just let go
You make me want to be brave
The way it always was
Is no longer good enough
You make me want to be brave
Brave, brave

I am small
And I speak when I'm spoken to
But I am willing to risk it all
I say Your name
Just Your name and I'm ready to jump
Even ready to fall...

Why did I take this vow of compromise?
Why did I try to keep it all inside?

So long status quo
I think I just let go
You make me want to be brave
The way it always was
Is no longer good enough
You make me want to be brave
Brave, brave

I've never known a fire that didn't begin with a flame
Every storm will start with just a drop of rain
But if you believe in me
That changes everything
So long, I'm gone

So long status quo
I think I just let go
You make me want to be brave
I wanna be brave
The way it always was
Is no longer good enough
You make me want to be brave
Brave, brave

It Is Well

There lived a man and a woman
In a town called Shunem
They made a home for Elisha
And found favor in his eyes
So God sent them a miracle
The only thing they longed for
Within a year they would hold a son
As Elisha prophesied

One day they ran from the field
brought the child to his mother
She held his head there on her knees
Until he died at noon that day
She didn't tell anyone
She ran straight to the man of God
And if anybody asked her
She replied along the way

(Chorus)
It is well.  It is well.
There is peace in my despair
Knowing God will hear my prayer
And I will cling
To the promise that He brings
Even death can have no sting no power in hell.
In His presence I will dwell
Where it is well.

Elisha stood by the bedside
Where she layed the boy when he died
He prayed a prayer upon him
And then he breathed new life again
Well, friends God doesn't ever change
If you'll have that woman's faith
He'll send you a mirace
But until then you can say,

(Chorus)

I Trust in You, Lord
Words and music by Donna Williamson
Arranged by Justin Williamson

When God sends me a valley
And I must go through
That's when my faith is tested
Lord what can I do
When I feel that I can't go on
And all my strength is gone
I remember your promises
And I trust in You.

(Chorus)
I trust in You, Lord even in my valley
I trust in You, Lord even when my world says no
When I've done all I can do
Once again I lean on You
And I trust in You.

I am so educated
With knowledge taught by man
I know where I'm going
I think I know your plans
That's when I find myself
In a place I didn't plan
Lord, I need to feel you
I need to hold your hand

(Chorus)

Ideas
We are looking for ideas for lyrics for our next album. Right now my (laura's) heart is leaning toward reflections on the fact that Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father.
