A week after leaving Chris
Well it has been a week since we left Chris in Florida. He called and told us he was sitting through his first tropical storm. So far he seems to be handling the dorm life. It has been busy for him, getting his classes and books has kept him busy. He is already playing in a christian band. Keep him in your prayers.
In Florida Getting Chris set up in College Dorm
Good evening everyone. We have had a very busy weekend. I am here in Graceville Florida getting Chris set up at the Florida Baptist College. He will be here for the next two years. Keep Chris and his friend Andy in your prayers as they start down a different avenue in thier life. Chris has such a sweet personality and this will be his first steps into being out in this world on his own. Me and his dad will be a phone call away, but that is not like being in the same house. God has given Chris a servants heart. He has felt that the Lord has called him to be a Minister of music. My prayer is that the Lord will open all the right doors for Chris. I pray that Chris will know that the door he is walking through is one that the Lord has opened. We have all assurance that God will keep Chris under his watchful care, but pray that satan will not try to snare Chris with all the evil things of the world. I am proud of the servant that I see in my son. God has chosen a good boy. I dread leaving Chris monday, but I know that he will make me and his dad very proud. I know he will have a great witness to bring home after finishing school. The family is hoping to plan on coming here to see Chris for Thanksgiving. God bless
Loss of Jobs
Every day I came home from work and you could hear on the news how the economy is going down.Well yesterday the realization struck home. I seen friends that I work with be told that they have no job. I guess I knew that it wouldn't be long before it would have to hit the college work force. I want to remember everyone that is struggling just to live daily and, or raise a family. I still stand on the faith that the Lord will make a way for us to survive if we just believe.
Pray for our Country
As I listen to the daily news I feel God's anger at this nation. We are allowing sin to just take away our joy. We need to get back to prayer as our first and last event for each day. The family needs to get back to God's Word and realize that the Bible is fulfilling every day. Please know without a doubt that you are a child of God and you are ready to meet Him at anytime. I pray that God will help me to be a light to this dying world of sinners. We really need to pray for our leaders in this country. Satan is running ramped and we are just allowing him to take control of it all. Will you live for Christ? Will you walk with Christ daily?
