Above is a link to the you tube video of Steven Curtis Chapman explaining why he wrote "Cinderella".  This song really touches me as I prepare for the birth of my first grandchild, Madalyn any time now.  And with Father's Day approaching, my heart goes out to Steven and his family who just lost one of the little girls he speaks of in this video.

Merry Christmas!

As the season of love and hope quickly approaches, I find myself thinking about Christ and His love for us.  Reflecting on His birth reminds me to love others.  It gives me hope for the future, and it fills my heart with joy. His birth also gives me peace of mind to know that no matter how dim the world around us looks, Christ came to be our deliverer, our Messiah, our mediator to the Father, our big brother...our soon coming King!  Knowing all this, how can I worry over so many insignificant things that tend to weigh me down and strain my faith.  If our faith is strong, and our hope secure, then His love abounds in our lives and we will be taken care of.  Maybe not the way in which we are accustomed to, but we are His and He takes care of His own.  During this Christmas season, you may be facing the hardest trial of your life. Stand strong in your faith, trust Him as never before, and obey His commandmenst with all that is within you.  God is faithful and true.  His Word will not fail you.  Just remember...His timeing is perfect...but it's is not the same as ours.  His "right now"  may be down the road.  Trust Him and dont' lean on your own understanding, and He will direct your path.
All my love,
Donna

New CD coming early summer!

We've been back to the studio to work on two songs that will be on our upcoming new albumn.  We hope to get back in Serenade Studios to complete the ten new songs that will make up our 2008 project.  Keep your eyes and ears alert for news of the newest project.
We also hope to get out a "Hymns" albumn this year and possibly a Christmas album.  Keep us in your prayers that we can get the music that you want out to you.

Update!

So much has happened since my last blog!  We have been blessed to go to so many places and see so many people.  God has richly blessed us with a Ministry that we truly love.  Nothing makes me happier than to sing...and to be able to sing about the one who has given so much for me, my Lord and Saviour,Jesus Christ!  Well there's nothing better for me, (unless I could do it with a double chocolate milkshake instead of bottled water).
Seriously though we did a Christmas Tour that took us From Oak Island, NC to Atlanta, GA.  Several concerts at Ft Caswell, various churches along the way, Parades, Retirement Villages and a Children's Psychiatric Facility for children.  We took gift bags from Galeed Baptist Church in Bladenboro along with one of our cd's for every child.  They were so excited to see us, yet seeing them was a highlight of the Christmas season for me.
I would like to thank Joan Carter, Gary & Audrie Osteen, Johnny Tatum and the great folks at Trindale Baptist Church for promoting us, feeding and or housing us over the past couple of months.  It's people like you that make it possible for us to do what God wants us to do.

Peace Baptist Church

On Sunday night, we were ministering in song and testimonies at Peace Baptist Church in Whiteville, NC. The people were so kind and loving. We truly felt the power and moving of the Holy Spirit in the service. The music was good, but the word of God was presented through the words that were spoken and sung. Throughout the evening, eyes were filled with tears in us and the audience. God works so abundantly when we obey Him. (They are beginning a building project...please, keep them in your prayers.).
Keep us in your prayers that we will continue to go where God opens doors and that He will use us to accomplish the plans that He has for us.
In His Serivce,
Donna

Parade

This is the "D" of GLAD, writing to you with just a bit of news about this past weekend. We sang in the Bladenboro Christmas Parade. WOW! was that exciting! We rode down the streets on a float, singing our hearts out...seeing the crowds smiling and clapping...knowing that for a few moments, there was joy in their hearts and on their faces! It was really inspiring to know that a small thing that I was doing could create happiness in the lives of others. Isn't God wonderful to allow us the opportunity to show His love even in a secular setting?!? I thought it was great!
In His Service,
Donna
